Becks and Brown Trout: like casting pearls before swine

I think many of us have had similar experiences, the danger is that some of them will 'get it' and abandon what they've done in the past, and pester you to go again, join your club, and feel that you will appreciate being your 'fishing pal' not realising that fly fishermen generally want to do it alone. I've been surprised at those who do fall into just wanting a pile of fish on the bank, experienced sportsmen in other fields.
